A crowd
of over 600 ventured the wind, rain and the hail at Cannock
HC to watch England’s Commonwealth Bronze medallists
overcome their Irish counterparts 1-0.
The
only goal of the game came in the 54th minute when Captain
Kate Walsh converted a penalty corner.
This
was England’s last game before the final squad for
the World Cup Qualifiers at the end of April is picked.
A top five finish in Rome will see England qualify for the
World Cup in Madrid in September.
